  • The day following the hearing, a provisional Uruguayan identity card may be issued while the case is being analyzed.
  • This can only be done in Montevideo.
    Although the permanent residency must be renewed, it has no time limit as to its granting.
  • The process begins with the collection of documentation, continues with a hearing, and ends with the issuance of the Uruguayan identity card.
  • It is a little more expensive than the temporary residency.
I can't find my relative's birth certificate, what should I do?
